The Scientifical

Emilie Menzel is a poet, writer, and scientist from Atlanta, Georgia currently completing her MFA in poetry at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts. She graduated with honors from Wellesley College with a B.A. in English Creative Writing and Psychology. Her work includes positions as editor and web designer for children's folktale publisher August House, editorial assistant for poetry journal jubilat, research assistant with the Georgia State Language Research Center, and research assistant with the Psychiatric ward of the Boston Children's Hospital. Emilie's work has been published in Behaviour and Scientifica, and she is the recipient of the Academy of American Poets Nevin Prize and Florence Annette Wing Memorial Prize for Lyric Poetry.
