For Further Exploration

Introduction

Here is a selection of bibliographies, books, websites, and more for further exploring Pocahontas counter narratives. These resources especially highlight publications by Native American authors and creators. In addition to being useful for expanding historical understandings of Pocahontas, these resources are also useful for expanding historical and contemporary perceptions of United States Native American nations more broadly.

All books included below were written for children. The non-book resources were created for an adult, educator audience.
